HISTORY
Port Edward Holiday Resort was previously known as the Port Edward Police Resort.

Established 60 years ago, the holiday resort was funded by Police Force donations - for police members, by police members - and became one of the most popular holiday destinations on the lower South Coast. It included the Waterfront Restaurant which is now known as the Beach Bobbies Restaurant.

Even though the resort is now privatized, its heritage comes from the South African Police Service which needs to be celebrated and remembered for their contribution to our country.

In November 2006 the resort was graded by the Grading Council of South Africa and received two stars. In January 2009, we were once again graded and are very pleased to announce that we have received our 3rd star.
